Today I took out my old guitar and for a piece of kit that hadn't been played for 8 years, it was in surprisingly good condition. The strings needed to be replaced but the sound was tight, bright and resonant.

The world seems a little brighter today.

Weeks passed and the days fell into each other. I found myself becoming more and more detached from the world around me. People were inviting me out but I didn't feel like seeing them.
